Click here to hear Mike Huckabee's opening monologue from his TV program last Saturday that should whet anyone's interest to find out more about the FairTax. I suggest clicking on FairTax links shown on the left hand side of RTE to see a list of 32 topics that I selected & wrote about over the years.
These topics include introductory pieces, transcripts of FairTax presentations @ Tea Party meetings, audios of radio programs, Q&A training workshops, & the relationship of the FairTax to specific topics like Value Added Taxes, Healthcare & Medical Insurance, Education Costs - Local Property Taxes, Housing Price-Cost-Valuations, Intergovernmental Tax Immunity, the Prebate that ensures no one @ or below the poverty level pays the FairTax on their consumption of essentials, & an analysis of the FairTax's impact on every component of the nation's GDP including the taxing of government purchases of labor (personnel hires), supplies, & services.
Mike's first guest of the evening was economist Steve Moore who provided a good follow up to Mike's monologue supporting the FairTax by pointing out some of the many benefits that the country would realize if the FairTax bill, HR 25, was enacted.
When you start to understand it you will know why the FairTax is the most important piece of legislation in our lifetime for America. And that is why you should get behind it.
Thanks for latest update, I remember all of your previous articles. Would be nice if this could be obtained. Keep writing
ReplyDeleteI saw it Doug and I just thought of you when you were explaining it to me at Monmouth Park one summer.
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw you had made a comment, & before I read it, I too thought of our day @ Monmouth Park.
DeleteGot it, thanks!
ReplyDeleteAs you and I have discussed, the impetus for propelling it forward has to come from the people. A true grass roots crusade.
I watched a Youtube podcast last week called Tim Cast (have watched several of his shows, very good) and he had Matt Gaetz as one of his guests.
Some of the questions were about taxes and the first thing Gaetz stated was his support for The FairTax and briefly explain what it was and how it worked.
Doug, that was the first time I ever heard an elected official voluntarily come out and mention and support The FairTax.
Every other time it felt like they made a feigned show of support such as watching former Sen Purdue and Rep Woodall make their half ass phony attempts.
Cheers,
You are so right. I had to think back to myself to remember Steve King of Iowa doing the same thing about ten years ago as Matt Gaetz.
DeleteDoug - Thanks for the info about the new Huckabee show & the 32 articles. I appreciate your sending any future shows.
ReplyDeleteHave seen more talk about it from other supporters. Just might be the right time.
